Simple Nutrition Rules to Get Stronger and Build Muscle
ANT Strength & Conditioning is a private training studio in South Edmonton that caters to everyone from athletes and regular gym goers to people with no exercise history looking to improve their fitness and lifestyle.
The name ANT Strength was, of course, inspired by the ant. It is well known that ants are among the strongest creatures on the planet relative to their size, able to lift up to fifty times their own body weight.
Relative strength to body weight is also important in humans as it is the most important aspect of athletics, fitness and competition. Relative strength is the basis of all competition weight classes in competitive lifting such as powerlifting and Olympic lifting and sports. Relative strength explains why there are no three hundred pound professional soccer players, or why the absolute strongest men in the world weigh several hundred pounds.
I believe humans look and feel better the stronger they are pound for pound so getting stronger and leaner is the goal of any training program whether that is for an athlete trying to be able to outperform their opponent(s) or for the average person making a lifestyle change.
Get stronger. Get leaner. Move better. Feel better.
A couple of other things…
The key to nutrition is knowledge, not prescription. ANT Strength takes a scientific approach to nutrition helping our clients understand the role food plays in their training program and life …
